Hourly Pay: $20.00 – $25.00

Position Overview

The Medical Assistant supports clinical providers in delivering patient care. This role is responsible for assisting with exams, taking vital signs, coordinating communication between patients and care teams, and ensuring timely documentation. You may also be trained to assist with TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatments under physician supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and document medical histories, allergies, and current medications.

  • Record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and weight.

  • Communicate with patients per provider instructions; document prescriptions and lab orders.

  • Ensure charts are complete with lab results and medical history before appointments.

  • Relay lab results and other information to patients as directed by provider.

  • Manage patient communication, triage calls/messages, handle prescription refills and follow-ups.

  • Perform and document injections and medication reactions.

  • Maintain and monitor clinic supplies, logs, emergency medications, and sterilization equipment.

  • Schedule and update appointments, ensuring insurance authorizations are properly linked.

  • Support providers during telemedicine appointments.

  • Assist with TMS treatment coverage once trained.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program.

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records and health insurance processes preferred.

  • RMA or CMA certification preferred.

  • BLS certification preferred.
