About the Role
Eastern New Mexico Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations. In this role, you’ll assist healthcare providers with clinical and administrative duties while delivering compassionate service to patients and their families.
As a valued member of our team, you will play a vital part in preparing exam rooms, performing patient intake, supporting medical procedures, and coordinating administrative tasks to maintain efficiency and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
-
Assist providers with non-invasive procedures, patient exams, and vital sign collection.

Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms before patient visits.

Perform patient intake tasks including documenting medical history, phone triage, and reporting test results.

Manage daily logs, records, and clinic documentation.

Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient registration, referrals, and insurance verification.

Educate patients on medications, diet, and health-related topics, ensuring understanding and compliance.

Monitor and maintain clinic supplies and equipment.

Deliver professional, courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Adhere to infection control standards, organizational policies, and confidentiality requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned by the medical team.
Qualifications
-
Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution preferred.

0–1 years of medical practice experience or completion of an externship program required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of patient care techniques and medical office procedures.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Solid understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle clinical and administrative challenges.

Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive patient information.
Licenses & Certifications

Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required, issued by the AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
