Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support patient care by performing both clinical and administrative duties under the supervision of a licensed medical provider. From assisting with medical procedures to maintaining exam rooms and facilitating patient intake, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent service to patients and staff.
Essential Functions

Assist providers with non-invasive medical procedures, including vital signs and patient preparation.

Prepare and sanitize exam rooms before patient visits and clinical procedures.

Perform patient intake tasks such as documenting medical information, phone triage, and reporting test results.

Review and maintain daily logs and patient records accurately.

Support administrative tasks: patient pre-registration, appointment scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and clinic communications.

Manage workload efficiently while providing professional, courteous service to patients, visitors, and providers.

Monitor and requisition medical supplies to ensure proper inventory and equipment functionality.

Provide patient education on medications, diets, and health-related topics, addressing questions to ensure clear understanding.

Comply with all organizational policies, standards, and safety regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited school (preferred).

0–1 year of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program (required).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and medical record systems.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to deliver outstanding patient care.

Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices.

Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in clinical and administrative situations.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Licenses & Certifications

Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required from AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
