About The Opportunity

In this role, you will independently assist providers with patient care, maintain patient records, and handle administrative duties that contribute to the effective management of patient care.

What You Will Do:

  • Collect, monitor, and document vital signs, patient history, and invasive procedures, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

  • Respond to patient phone calls promptly and professionally.

  • Assist providers and clinical staff with patient exams, procedures, and other direct patient care processes.

  • Prepare patients for scheduled procedures, including venipunctures, injections, and intravenous therapy when necessary.

  • Monitor patients’ medical conditions and report any changes to the appropriate provider.

  • Maintain patient documentation and communicate care plans, including any ordered diagnostics or treatments.

  • Ensure examination rooms are clean, well-stocked, and equipped, replacing supplies as needed. Sterilize equipment and tools, and complete shift opening and closing procedures.

  • Uphold the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.

  • Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient care and administrative duties is preferred.

  • Ability to perform venipunctures, administer injections, and initiate intravenous therapy is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA regulations is required.

License(s) Required:

One of the following certifications must be obtained prior to starting:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologists (AMT)

  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by the National Center for Competency Testing

  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcare Association

  • Medical Assistant Certification (MAC) by the American Medical Certification Association

  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant by the National Association for Health Professionals

  • State of Colorado Licensed Practical Nurse or valid compact state license

  • State of Colorado Emergency Medical Technician license

Certification(s) Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Computer/Typing Skills:

  • Must have working knowledge of the English language (reading, writing, and speaking).

Hourly Pay:
$23.20 – $31 per hour, based on relevant education and experience.
