About the Role
The Certified Medical Assistant Rx Specialist supports providers, patients, and care teams by:

Managing prescription refill requests for provider approval.

Handling calls from patients, pharmacies, and providers.

Supporting the prescription process to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.

Working across multiple clinic locations as part of a hybrid role (remote and on-site in South Carolina).

Following established guidelines while exercising judgment to prioritize requests and ensure accuracy.
Required Qualifications

1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience.

Applicable state licensure (RMA or CMA).

CPR certification.

Experience with EMRs, HEDIS, and prescription processes (formularies, prior authorizations, step therapy).

Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in high-volume settings.

Proficiency with MS Outlook and basic computer skills.

Passion for improving patient care and experiences.
Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual skills.

Phlebotomy experience.

Familiarity with O365 tools.

Pay & Benefits

Salary range: $43,000 – $56,200 per year (depending on experience, location, and qualifications).
