Key Responsibilities of a Billing Coordinator I

Monitor and manage accounts receivable for timely collections.

Review outstanding accounts and resolve unpaid or delinquent invoices.

Use electronic billing systems to track payments and update records.

Collaborate with billing teams to resolve claim discrepancies and errors.

Maintain accurate insurance and authorization records.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOX standards, and billing regulations.

Audit billing functions, troubleshoot issues, and prevent incorrect billing.

Qualifications for Billing Coordinator I

High school diploma (required); additional education preferred.

Familiarity with CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, and medical billing codes.

Proficiency with electronic billing systems; HHA Exchange experience is a plus.
