Your Responsibilities in the Medical Billing Supervisor Role

  • Assign and oversee AR (Accounts Receivable) tasks, focusing on timely insurance and patient collections.

  • Manage all aspects of insurance and patient collections, including outreach, payment plans, and outstanding balance resolution.

  • Monitor revenue cycle KPIs and AR metrics to drive progress toward company financial goals.

  • Delegate and track AR tasks within the billing team, ensuring productivity and accountability.

  • Generate AR and collections reports, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Prioritize aged AR, manage high-balance accounts, and coordinate external collections as needed.

  • Handle client billing inquiries, concerns, and escalations directly.

  • Conduct audits to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.

  • Train and supervise revenue cycle staff, offering feedback and development support.

  • Oversee denial management processes to reduce claim denials.

Required Qualifications

  • Must not be suspended or excluded from federal health care programs (TriWest, TRICARE, Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP).

  • Hold a current Arizona Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications (office staff only).
