Monitor and apply updates from Medicare, payer bulletins, and OIG Work Plans.

Maintain expert-level understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, NCCI edits, and APC rules.

Utilize Cerner and 3M/Solventum software for coding and audit processes.

Qualifications for the Medical Coding Auditor Role

Education: Associate degree in Health Services required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of production coding or auditing experience in a healthcare setting.

Technical Skills: Expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, NCCI edits, and APC. Experience with Cerner and 3M/Solventum preferred.

Certification: Must hold RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification.
