As a Medical Insurance Representative, you’ll oversee billing processes, verify claims, and assist in resolving insurance payments for healthcare clients nationwide.

Key Duties

  • Handle medical billing, follow-ups, and appeals to ensure payment accuracy.
  • Manage payer calls, insurance portals, and documentation tasks.
  • Perform Medicare billing and insurance claim verification.
  • Use Epic, Meditech, or Cerner systems effectively for account resolution.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and payers.
  • Support revenue cycle processes to improve payment collection and reduce A/R days.

Medical Insurance Representative Job Requirements

 

To qualify, you must demonstrate strong communication, analytical, and billing expertise along with proficiency in healthcare software systems.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Epic, Meditech, or Cerner.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Experience in hospital and professional billing.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding (preferred).
  • Experience filing medical insurance appeals.
  • Ability to work independently in a quiet, distraction-free environment.
  • High-speed internet access required; bilingual skills are a plus.
