We’re looking for a Medical Lead to join our senior leadership team within Practice Plus Group’s Health in Justice (HiJ) service line. This is a key role supporting our expanding portfolio of over 60 secure healthcare sites, where we deliver patient-centred, high-quality care to individuals within the criminal justice system.
With two exciting roles available—one covering the North of England and the other the East of England—you’ll help shape and elevate clinical excellence across regions while also contributing at a national strategic level.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Medical Lead, you will:

Provide regional and national medical leadership across secure healthcare services

Champion clinical governance and evidence-based practices
-
Drive quality improvement and patient experience outcomes

Mentor and support fellow clinicians to maintain the highest standards of professional practice

Support strategic growth, service development, and innovation in the Health in Justice space
-
Ensure services are cost-effective, safe, and aligned with NHS frameworks
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you must have:

At least 3 years’ experience in a senior medical leadership position
-
Broad experience in improving patient experience and applying evidence-based care
-
A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence at all levels

Current full GMC registration

Be on the Specialist Register or NHSE Performers List (or both)
Qualifications

GMC registration (full)
-
On the NHSE Performers List or Specialist Register in a relevant clinical area
