Medical Office Assistant

Are you a detail-oriented, patient-focused professional looking to make a difference in the healthcare field? We’re hiring a Medical Office Assistant to join our client’s growing team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy providing exceptional care and support, this role is perfect for you! Ideally you will already have some medical office administration and/or nursing experience.

About the Role:

As a Medical Office Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. You’ll manage administrative tasks, assist with patient coordination, and work closely with our healthcare professionals to maintain efficient operations. The Doctor is able to provide you with either 4 or 5 days of work per week, 3 weeks’ vacation, benefits, and free parking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate information is recorded.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with billing, insurance claims, and payment processing.
  • Prepare examination rooms and support medical staff as needed.
  • Uphold a clean, organized, and professional office environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in medical software and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
  • A friendly, empathetic attitude with a passion for patient care.
