Medical Professional
Responsibilities:
-
Perform medical evaluations of potential donors for automated plasmapheresis procedures.
-
Assess donor suitability of new applicants in consultation with a donor center physician.
-
Provide limited emergency care, including medication administration or treatments.
-
Ensure compliance with criteria for normal plasma donors and maintain communication logs regarding donor suitability.
-
Review blood tests (normal and abnormal) to determine donor suitability.
-
Counsel donors with abnormal test results and provide appropriate deferrals.

Qualifications:
-
Graduation from a recognized healthcare program.

Current licensure as an EMT-Paramedic, RN, or LPN.

Current CPR certification.
-
Ability to educate donors, staff, and the community about our plasma donation program.

Highly organized, team-oriented, flexible, and comfortable in a busy medical environment.
-
Basic computer proficiency; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
-
Blood bank or plasma center experience preferred.
-
One or more years of experience in a hospital, field care, or plasma center setting preferred.
