As a Food Service Representative, you’ll ensure your department is fresh, stocked, and clean while preparing and merchandising high-quality food products. You’ll also follow food safety protocols and deliver outstanding customer service.

Your Role
Customer Service

Provide superior customer service

Take orders by phone or in person

Help customers choose the right products
Food Service / Production

Prepare, package, label, and merchandise fresh products

Cull low-quality items and maintain freshness

Assist in setup, cleanup, and basic operations
Sales

Use suggestive selling to meet customer needs

Promote department products to boost sales
Food Safety

Clean and sanitize display areas and equipment
-
Follow company food safety and sanitation standards

Adhere to department SOPs and store procedures
Department-Specific Tasks
Bakery
-
Assist in baking, frying, and decorating

Cull expired or poor-quality baked goods
-
Record production and shrink
Deli
-
Serve counter customers
-
Use order systems and manage inventory
-
Handle catering orders and maintain slicers
Prepared Foods

Package and serve ready-to-eat foods
-
Educate customers on heating/preparation
-
Portion sauces, dressings, and condiments
-
Prep vegetables and ingredients for chefs
Minimum Requirements

Minimum age: 18

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Completion of orientation and food safety/sanitation training upon hire
Skills and Abilities

Familiarity with computers and store equipment (scales, label machines, etc.)

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Reading, writing, planning, and organizing abilities
