Job Overview
The Merchandising Specialist supports the execution of sales and merchandising strategies within a specialized department. This role involves data accuracy across multiple systems, supporting promotional planning, pricing, assortment management, and vendor communications. It’s a dynamic position that helps drive category performance while ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- 
Enter and maintain accurate promotional, pricing, and assortment information across systems 
- 
Support Category Managers with contracts, records, and planning tasks 
- 
Act as a point of contact for customer requests and vendor support 
- 
Review and approve vendor promotions; create and maintain Excel reports and templates 
- 
Communicate pricing guidelines and promotional details to retailers and regions 
- 
Perform data entry, record keeping, and system updates to support merchandising activities 
- 
Liaise across business planning groups, vendors, and internal teams 
- 
Provide additional administrative and merchandising support as required 
Requirements
Education/Certifications:
- 
Associate’s degree (2-year) or equivalent experience 
Experience:
- 
0–2 years of retail and/or supply chain merchandising experience 
- 
Familiarity with category management and merchandising operations preferred 
Skills/Abilities:
- 
Strong planning and organizational skills 
- 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 
- 
Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
- 
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment 
- 
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry 
- 
Sound judgment when working without immediate supervision 
Work Environment
- 
Remote role: Work primarily from home, with occasional travel to offices, distribution centers, or meetings as required 
- 
Physical demands: Prolonged sitting, computer use, and occasional bending or reaching
