About the Role
The Middle School Teacher is a certified educator responsible for delivering engaging, data-driven instruction to students in an online learning environment. This position involves providing both live (synchronous) and self-paced (asynchronous) lessons, tracking student progress, and communicating effectively with students and parents to support academic growth.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective online lessons to middle school students.

Personalize learning to meet individual student needs.

Maintain student grade books and academic integrity.

Communicate regularly with students and parents/learning coaches.

Support students in preparation for standardized tests.

Assist families with technical or instructional issues in the virtual classroom.

Participate in professional development and attend required in-person school events.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

Active Texas 4–8 Generalist or Science Teaching Certification.

Ability to pass a required background check.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching online or in a traditional classroom setting.

Familiarity with Stride K12’s online learning platforms.

Ability to analyze and use student data to guide instruction.

Strong communication, collaboration, and technology skills.

Open to feedback and continuous improvement through coaching.
Work Environment
This is a virtual teaching position that requires a professional and distraction-free home office. Teachers are expected to work independently and manage their own schedules while meeting performance and communication expectations.
