About the Role

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Network Engineer to provide life-cycle services in support of Cybersecurity and SIGINT midpoint collection. You will work on modernizing and sustaining capabilities, developing new features, and enhancing Front End Solutions systems. This role supports at-scale communications processing across multiple midpoint accesses and leverages technologies such as cloud, containerization, AI/ML, and advanced dataflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver optimized network engineering solutions across complex systems

  • Modernize products with advanced technologies (cloud, AI/ML, containerization)

  • Design, integrate, configure, deploy, and maintain network devices and interfaces

  • Conduct data captures and optimize network performance

  • Implement solutions including VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, VoIP, GRE tunneling, IPSec, NAT, and encryption protocols

  • Troubleshoot and analyze network traffic using Wireshark, Tcpdump, NetFlow

  • Collaborate with cybersecurity experts to protect critical national infrastructure

Basic Qualifications

  • Clearance: DoD Top Secret SCI with Polygraph (required)

  • Education/Experience pathways:

    • HS Diploma/GED + 12 years of systems administration experience, OR

    • Bachelor’s in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Systems + 4 years experience, OR

    • Master’s in relevant discipline + 2 years experience

  • Cisco certification (required)

  • Strong background in network engineering support and training

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of Arista EOS, Cisco IOS, or NX-OS

  • Experience hardening devices and implementing secure protocols

  • Hands-on configuration of L2 and L3 network services (VPN, QoS, segmentation, etc.)

  • Field expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing network traffic

  • Familiarity with network slicing, traffic shaping, and advanced security requirements
