We are currently seeking a Multi Skilled Operative to join our Cambridge-based team in Cottenham. If you have a carpentry background and skills in plumbing, plastering, and general property maintenance, this is your chance to be part of a respected and people-focused company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and repair tasks in occupied homes, including:

    • Fitting and replacing doors

    • Wooden floor repairs and maintenance

    • Minor plumbing works

    • Patch plastering and tiling

  • Conduct fault finding and corrective repairs with a focus on first-time completion

  • Deliver high-quality service within budget and timeframes

  • Use a handheld PDA device for job management, stock control, and documentation

  • Maintain tools, vehicle, and uniform to company standards

  • Source and collect materials as required for each task

  • Support out-of-hours emergency call-outs (on a rota basis)

  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures

Essential Requirements

  • Core trade in Carpentry with additional experience in:

    • Plumbing

    • Plastering

    • Painting and Decorating

  • UK Driving Licence (must be 21+ with less than 9 penalty points)

  • Provide own hand and power tools

  • Previous experience in residential refurbishments or maintenance

  • Right to work in the UK – visa sponsorship not available

  • Subject to DBS/Security checks before employment
