Network and System Architect Responsibilities
As part of this role, the Network and System Architect will:

Collaborate with hotel teams to plan project schedules and IT architecture.

Configure and deploy switches, servers, firewalls, WAPs, UPS systems, and backup appliances.

Build IP subnets, VLANs, and firewall rules for IPS/IDS and content filtering.

Install and manage Windows Server OS (2012–2022), Active Directory, and GPOs.

Set up Microsoft 365 tenants, Azure AD, Intune, and virtualization platforms.

Implement PCI DSS security compliance, RMM/MDR endpoint protection, and disaster recovery systems.

Deploy hotel-specific applications including PMS, POS, and building management systems.

Document system designs and network diagrams using Visio.
Skills Needed for a Network and System Architect
A Network and System Architect should have:

Strong knowledge of Windows Servers, DNS/DHCP, and Group Policy.

Expertise in networking (Layer 2/3, VLANs, routing, TCP/IP, Cisco/HP switches).

Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, VMware, Hyper-V.

Understanding of hotel technologies (Opera PMS, POS, IPTV, PABX, access systems).

Knowledge of security compliance (PCI DSS), endpoint security, and antivirus tools.
