Zoom is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to develop and maintain the systems that power our global data center networks. This role is key to ensuring exceptional performance, security, and reliability across our infrastructure. As part of the Network Automation team, you’ll design and manage tooling that supports the delivery of high-performance networks used by millions worldwide.

About the Team
The Network Automation team at Zoom builds and manages the tools that ensure smooth operations across data centers globally. These systems are vital to Zoom’s infrastructure, and you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including data center, network, and systems engineers—to deliver seamless connectivity and uptime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize automation tools, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines supporting Zoom’s network operations.

  • Work with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks to manage network configurations and monitoring systems.

  • Collaborate with network and data center engineers to design and implement new features and improvements.

  • Build dashboards and metrics to track network and tooling health.

  • Design frameworks for inventory, monitoring, and configuration management across data centers.

  • Troubleshoot system and tooling issues to maintain reliable network performance.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical network systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Network Automation Engineer.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience configuring networking devices (Juniper, Arista, Cisco).

  • Strong understanding of IP, TCP, UDP, BGP, and related routing protocols.

  • Proficiency with Linux administration and shell scripting.

  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or Nagios.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab Runners, or Azure DevOps.

  • Proficient in Python and Go for automation and tooling development.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $98,900 – $228,700 USD annually (commensurate with experience and location).

  • Total compensation includes base salary, bonus, and equity.
