About the Role
Oracle is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support the deployment and testing of our global Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) network. This large-scale, cloud-based environment spans hundreds of thousands of devices and millions of servers connected across both backbone infrastructure and the internet.
In this role, you’ll combine deep protocol-level networking expertise with strong programming and automation skills to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability across OCI’s worldwide footprint.
Key Responsibilities
As a Network Engineer, you will:

Support network lifecycle management, builds, and upgrades.

Develop and execute safe, scalable network change procedures.

Lead technical projects, create runbooks, and mentor junior engineers.

Contribute to OCI network architecture and roadmap development.

Participate in operational rotations (primary/secondary) for event support.

Provide escalation support, lead break-fix remediation, and root cause analysis.

Automate routine network operations through scripting (Python, etc.).

Collaborate with network automation services to integrate tooling.

Drive vendor software bug resolution with internal QA and external partners.

Support firmware/OS qualification and testing for production readiness.
Required Qualifications

Proven hands-on experience in large-scale networking environments.

Strong understanding of networking at the protocol level (BGP, OSPF, etc.).

Experience developing scripts and automation for network operations.

Ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members.

Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $87,000 – $178,100 (based on skills, experience & market factors).
