Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure team and support on-premise systems across our New York-area data centers. You’ll play a key role in maintaining network performance, resolving issues, and implementing infrastructure upgrades to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot network/server issues (Linux & Windows environments)

Configure routers, switches (Cisco, Arista), and virtual machines (VMware, Hyper-V)

Support storage networks and schedule maintenance tasks (cron, PTP, NTP, backups)

Collaborate with teams to manage network and hardware/software issues
-
Document changes and maintain high availability infrastructure
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
-
3+ years in a network engineering or related role
-
Experience with IP routing, switching, VPNs, QoS, DNS, DHCP, multicast, BGP, HSRP
-
Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments, VMware, and Hyper-V
-
Proficient with network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)

Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python, Perl) preferred

Certifications in Cisco, Arista, VMware, or Windows services are a plus
Skills & Abilities:

Strong technical troubleshooting and communication skills

In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols

Ability to work independently and in team settings
-
Willingness to travel locally (up to 30%) and perform occasional after-hours work

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in server rooms as needed
