Program Overview & The Role:

The Network Management team operates and maintains the critical IP networks for the Department of Defense Information Network-Army (DoDIN-A) and internal LANs. This role focuses on implementing a cutting-edge “Infrastructure as Code” (IaC) approach using Model-Driven DevOps to automate our large-scale, multi-vendor network infrastructure.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing and optimizing network infrastructure through continuous integration and deployment.
  • Developing automated compliance and security checks using test-driven development.
  • Continuously automating manual and repetitive network operations tasks.
  • Guiding network operators in managing the network as software using GitOps/DevOps principles.
  • Automating and managing the physical and virtual infrastructure supporting our tools.
  • Developing IaC and automation to deploy/redeploy environments on demand.
  • Operating and maintaining automation tools and infrastructure in compliance with security policies.
  • Creating and expanding automation and pipeline capabilities.
  • Integrating the network automation pipeline with existing management tools.
  • Continuously developing the OpenConfig service to meet customer needs.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years with a BS/BA, 3+ years with an MS/MA, or a PhD.
  • Active Top Secret w/SCI security clearance.
  • Relevant advanced security certifications (e.g., CISSO, CISSP, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GICSP, GSEC, ISSAP, ISSEP).
  • Experience in Network Engineering and IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with network/system performance monitoring.
  • Understanding of change, release, and configuration management processes.
  • Knowledge of client business environment and requirements.
