ServicePoint’s client in Nashville, TN, seeks a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer for a 6-month contract. This hybrid role requires 4 days onsite (candidates must reside within 1 hour of Nashville). The successful candidate will lead network design, configuration, and maintenance, managing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless APs, phone systems (including hosted VOIP), and Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Responsibilities include monitoring network performance, maintaining documentation, and providing Tier 3 escalation support.
Network Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, configure, maintain, and secure our nationwide data network infrastructure, including wireless systems. This role involves installing and supporting network equipment, developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation and network maps, and managing firmware updates and patching. You will utilize advanced troubleshooting skills for network hardware and cabling (fiber, CAT 6), integrate emerging technologies like VoIP, mentor junior engineers, and assign tasks effectively.
The ideal candidate will proactively monitor network health, ensure high availability and performance, lead network baselining and data flow documentation, and drive solutions from identification to implementation. This position requires managing project efforts, following program management methodologies, handling problem/request tickets, and domestic U.S. travel.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience (4-5 years related experience required).
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of: Microsoft Azure, LAN/MAN/WAN, VLANs, STP, VPC, subnetting, OSPF, BGP, ACLs, Load Balancers, Wireshark, SolarWinds, NetScout, NAC/802.1x, QoS, Extreme Wireless, DNS/DHCP (Bluecat/Microsoft).
- Preferred experience: FortiNAC, Cisco Nexus (NX-OS), HP/Aruba ClearPass & switches (2900/2600/5400), Cisco 9200/9300 series, Zero Trust framework.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; proficient in MS Office.
