Company Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support the daily operations, security, and performance of NYCHSRO/MedReview’s data networks. This position plays a key role in the maintenance and evolution of our WAN, LAN, and server infrastructure. In addition to supporting current systems, you will also contribute to the implementation of new network and security projects, ensuring maximum uptime, performance, and compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Provide advanced support and maintenance for enterprise network infrastructure

Implement, manage, and monitor firewalls (especially Palo Alto and Cisco ASA/Firepower)

Support and troubleshoot VPN and remote access platforms

Manage routing and switching platforms (Arista and Cisco)

Monitor and analyze IDS/IPS activity and ensure network security controls are operating effectively

Oversee change control processes for network and security configurations

Assist in external and internal audits, especially HITRUST and HIPAA assessments

Utilize tools like SolarWinds, NetMRI, and Zabbix for performance monitoring and device management

Support Zero Trust solutions such as Zscaler or Microsoft Global Secure Access

Contribute to cloud networking efforts (AWS, Azure, GCP preferred)

Assist with VoIP systems and cloud-based contact center platforms (e.g., NICE inContact)

Collaborate closely with IT and security teams on all infrastructure and threat defense initiatives

Be available for after-hours support during outages or special projects
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and security
-
Deep knowledge of firewall management, routing/switching, wireless networks, and data center infrastructure

Experience identifying, analyzing, and mitigating network threats including DDoS and internal/external attacks

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under pressure
-
CCNP certification required (or equivalent advanced networking certification)

Strong written and verbal communication skills
