About the Role: Network Engineer – Fort Huachuca, AZ
Join Peraton’s Network Management team, supporting the DoDIN-A infrastructure. You’ll help operate and secure IP networks—including LAN, WAN, DNS, VPN, and firewall services—ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance across a mix of physical, virtual, and software-defined systems.

This role emphasizes model-driven DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate, manage, and scale a multivendor network environment. You’ll lead continuous integration efforts, develop governance checks, manage infrastructure, and train others in DevOps best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize network infrastructure with DevOps/IaC

  • Automate routine operations and ensure continuous compliance (e.g., STIG)

  • Develop and maintain OpenConfig services

  • Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate automation tools into network management

  • Mentor teams on GitOps practices and network-as-code principles

  • Maintain security and performance of required tools and systems


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience (or 3 years with Master’s, or PhD)

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance

  • One or more certifications required (e.g., CISSP, GSEC, GCIA, GCSA)

  • Strong background in network engineering, IT infrastructure, and performance monitoring

  • Experience with change management, release/configuration processes, and security compliance

  • Familiarity with DevOps pipelines and automation tools


Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $80,000–$128,000 (commensurate with experience)

  • Must be U.S. citizen eligible to work and pass a background check
