About the Role: Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise in network design, administration, and troubleshooting. This role is ideal for an engineer with a proven track record in AWS networking, Cisco technologies, and network automation who thrives in solving complex challenges and mentoring junior team members.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of Alkami’s cloud, corporate, and customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced support for Alkami’s networking systems across cloud, corporate, and client environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues end-to-end, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Use tools like log file analysis and packet captures to identify root causes.

• Maintain firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, and monitoring tools.

• Perform upgrades, patching, and compliance remediation for infrastructure systems.

• Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and knowledge base resources.

• Mentor junior engineers and provide on-call support as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• Strong AWS networking expertise (certification required).

• Cisco CCNP or equivalent certification.

• Cloudflare experience with caching and CDN.

• 1–2 years of experience in network automation and programming.

• Mastery of load balancers, firewalls, and VPN technologies.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Experience architecting complex network infrastructures.

• Advanced AWS certifications.

• Linux administration (3–5 years).

• Prior experience supporting Microsoft technologies.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $108,546 – $162,820
