Leidos is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) migration program. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to help design, secure, and optimize one of the most critical enterprise networks in the U.S. Army. As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in migrating legacy systems, ensuring secure SD-WAN/MPLS connectivity, and maintaining the Army’s global wide area network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities of the Network Engineer

  • Operate and maintain secure enterprise network solutions for the U.S. Army.

  • Support discovery, assessment, and migration of legacy routing and configurations.

  • Analyze and design secure SD-WAN and MPLS solutions that meet mission performance needs.

  • Transform VRFs, route tables, and traffic segmentation during migration.

  • Identify and implement network optimization strategies to enhance capacity and security.

  • Collaborate with information assurance and cybersecurity teams to ensure DoD compliance.

  • Document designs, diagrams, and technical narratives for stakeholders.


Required Qualifications for Network Engineer

  • Bachelor’s degree + 8 years’ experience (or equivalent directly applicable experience).

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

  • DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent).

  • Expertise in patching, upgrading, and lifecycle refresh of network devices.

  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, BGP, VPNs, TCP/UDP, IPSec, CCMP, and Firewalls.

  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Dell, or similar network technologies.

  • Familiarity with network management tools (Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, Junos Space, Palo Alto Panorama).

  • System hardening experience with DoD STIG implementation.

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing skills.

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% and work non-standard shifts during migrations.


Preferred Skills

  • Army/DISA migration experience.

  • CCNP or equivalent certification.

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN and Palo Alto NGFW.

  • Familiarity with NetSecOps tools (Git, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).

  • Working knowledge of Python for automation.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise network design and Army security requirements.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $89,700 – $162,150 (based on experience and location).
