About the Role

GovCIO is seeking a talented Network Engineer to support the US Courts in modernizing and maintaining their IT infrastructure. In this role, you will help design, implement, and manage large-scale network systems, ensuring seamless connectivity, high availability, and security.

You’ll work closely with engineering teams and customers to translate system strategies into detailed requirements, lead network deployments, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement across hardware, software, and network services.

This is a remote position offering meaningful work that directly impacts government operations.


Key Responsibilities

As a Network Engineer, you will:

  • Plan, design, and install new network equipment, hardware, and software.

  • Translate high-level strategies into network/system specifications and detailed implementation requirements.

  • Support system conceptual design and produce technical documentation.

  • Design, configure, and deploy network services, interfaces, and devices.

  • Generate and execute system-level requirements verification procedures.

  • Monitor network performance and implement optimization/tuning strategies.

  • Review test plans and lead testing processes to validate requirements.

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.


Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 5–8 years of networking experience (or equivalent hands-on experience).

  • Strong knowledge of network engineering, hardware, and protocols.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.
