Network Engineer Role Overview
As a Network Engineer, you’ll design, deploy, and maintain a high-performance EVPN-VXLAN spine and leaf network that powers Galaxy’s AI and blockchain systems. Your work will focus on developing secure, automated, and scalable architectures for both on-premise data centers and cloud environments. You’ll ensure that Galaxy’s global network remains fast, resilient, and secure for mission-critical workloads.
Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain EVPN-VXLAN spine and leaf network architectures.

Implement micro-segmented network security for enhanced protection.

Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
-
Develop network monitoring systems including dark-fiber visibility.
-
Secure and maintain perimeter network devices in compliance with best practices.
-
Collaborate across teams to deliver seamless network integration.
-
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical excellence.
Network Engineer Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate for this Network Engineer role has deep technical expertise and thrives in complex, high-performance environments.
Required Skills:
-
Experience managing Juniper devices, including Apstra and Mist.

Strong knowledge of BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, and large-scale routing.

Proficiency in Terraform for automation and provisioning.

Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).

Understanding of access controls, encryption, and IAM best practices.

Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
-
Proficient scripting in Python, Bash, or Perl.
-
Experience using Git or SVN for version control.
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Passion for AI, crypto, and high-performance networking systems.
