About the Role
As a Network Engineer II, you will play a critical role in designing, configuring, and maintaining Mastercard’s global network infrastructure. You’ll work with advanced networking technologies, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance connectivity across our corporate offices, data centers, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and routers.

  • Support on-premises and cloud environments (Azure), ensuring reliability and security.

  • Collaborate with ISPs and internal teams to resolve connectivity issues.

  • Implement security best practices, patch vulnerabilities, and monitor network health.

  • Participate in change management, system upgrades, and on-call support rotation.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco, or Arista).

  • Hands-on expertise in Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches and ISR routers.

  • Knowledge of network troubleshooting for Windows, Linux, VMware, or Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with scripting (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible).

  • Experience with Azure networking (NSGs, load balancers, UDRs).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, PCNSA, or Azure Network Engineer Associate.

  • Experience with F5 load balancers, Citrix Netscaler, or Dell EMC networking.

Location & Compensation

  • Hybrid role based in Arlington, VA.

  • Salary range: $86,000 – $144,000 USD.
