Network Systems Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Systems Engineer to join our corporate IT Operations Team in a fully remote capacity. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience designing, configuring, and managing enterprise-class network and system infrastructure. This role focuses on optimizing performance, ensuring security, and implementing advanced networking and system solutions across Cisco, VMware, Windows, Linux, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and deploy enterprise network and system infrastructure, including Cisco devices, VMware environments, Windows and Linux servers.

• Provide ongoing troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and optimization of network and system components using tools like Wireshark.

• Manage network security, firewalls, VPNs, and policies while participating in vulnerability management and patching processes.

• Implement and maintain cloud-based services (Azure, AWS) to enhance network efficiency and scalability.

• Configure and manage load balancing solutions (F5 BigIPs, iRules, RegEx) to improve application availability.

• Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to assess current and future infrastructure needs.

• Lead and manage multiple network and system projects ensuring alignment with business goals and timely delivery.

• Stay current with industry advancements and integrate relevant technologies to improve network and system operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise-level experience in network and systems engineering.

• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking devices, LAN/WAN technologies, and firewall management.

• Expertise with VMware, Windows, Linux, and storage systems.

• Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols and wireless technologies.

• Experience with VPN solutions (Site-to-Site, Client-Side) and cloud integrations (Azure/AWS).

• Load balancing experience with F5 BigIPs, including iRule and RegEx management.

• Strong knowledge of network and system security methodologies and best practices.

• Excellent project management skills, ability to multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
