Join the Police Digital Service as an NMC Cyber Incident Management Lead
Are you a cybersecurity professional seeking a leadership role? The Police Digital Service is hiring an NMC Cyber Incident Management Lead to oversee cyber incident coordination and reporting within the National Management Centre (NMC). As an NMC Cyber Incident Management Lead, you’ll manage a team of Cyber Incident Leads, ensuring the continuous improvement of incident management processes and technologies. This pivotal role supports 24/7 police operations, providing threat detection and response capabilities to manage risks across national and local digital infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities of the NMC Cyber Incident Management Lead

Coordinate and report on cybersecurity incidents within the NMC, addressing quality and service delivery issues.

Lead and manage the Cyber Incident Leads team.

Develop and enhance the Incident Management Service, focusing on People, Processes, and Technology.

Advance key service deliverables, including Incident Response Planning and Cyber Incident Exercising.

Design and facilitate cyber incident exercises for clients.

Allocate resources for incident coaching and exercises to bolster client response capabilities.

Engage with senior stakeholders to communicate team performance and value through reports and presentations.

Collaborate with NMC teams and external partners as needed.

Ensure timely scheduling and execution of Post Incident Reviews.

Maintain on-call rotations and provide support when necessary.

Uphold the quality and standards of all NMC Incident Management outputs.

Act as a deputy for the Cyber Detect and Response Manager, reporting directly to the NMC Director and senior stakeholders.

Proven experience in a managerial role within a commercial setting, focusing on incident management.

Working Arrangements
