Successful candidate s responsibilities: Working with students one-on-one & in small groups Assisting students with learning tasksSupport students to enhance successTeacher Assistants Qualifications: Educational Assistant Certificate (desirable)Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staffWork collaboratively and co-operatively with teacher and other educational assistants in the classroom/schoolWork collaboratively with service provides such has Speech-Language Pathologist, Physical Therapist and Occupational TherapistWillingness to support students with toileting needsAbility to support students’ with varying social-emotional needsUnderstand and carry out oral and written directionWork independently with minimal instructionDemonstrate effective organizational and communication skills Respect confidentiality Practice professionalism with all students, staff, administration, parents and publicBe aware of NGPS policies and administrative proceduresHours of Work: 6 hours per day/5 days per week Wage Rate: $17.31/hour – $26.38/hour depending on qualifications and experienceEffective Dates:
