Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Nuclear Pharmacist to join our team in Spartanburg, SC. This full-time, on-site position plays a vital role in the preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, compound, and verify radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with state and federal regulations.

  • Adhere to and enforce radiation safety protocols and pharmacy compliance standards.

  • Perform quality control procedures and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to support diagnostic imaging services.

  • Manage inventory and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation and flexible scheduling as required.


Qualifications

  • Experience working with radiopharmaceuticals and in a nuclear pharmacy environment.

  • Authorized User of radioactive materials.

  • Strong understanding of USP <797> and USP <825>, radiation safety, and nuclear medicine standards.

  • PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university.

  • Current or eligible South Carolina Pharmacist License.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and follow strict radiation safety protocols.

  • Comfortable working independently and within a collaborative team environment.

  • U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and SC DHEC Radiological Health & Waste Regulations.

  • South Carolina Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.

  • Employer’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

  • Any applicable requirements from other state pharmacy boards and regulatory agencies.

  • Supporting facility safety, security, and equipment maintenance.

  • Ensuring effective and organized recordkeeping systems.
