Nurse Assistant

Job Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities, including hygiene, bathing, feeding, and ambulation.

• Observe patients and report any changes in their condition to the Registered Nurse.

• Respond to patient call lights promptly and appropriately.

• Transport patients between units, as directed by the Registered Nurse, following established transfer protocols.

• Maintain patient rooms by straightening up, changing linens, and performing other related tasks.

• Restock necessary supplies for patient care and order additional supplies as needed.

• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors.

• Contribute to cost-effective patient care by managing the use of time, equipment, and supplies efficiently.

• Perform other related duties as required. All listed responsibilities are essential functions of the job as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Any additional tasks not listed here but related are considered non-essential.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Completion of a Nurse Assistant Program is preferred.

• Previous relevant experience is preferred.
