About the Role:
Cherokee Nation Integrated Health (CNIH), a division of Cherokee Federal, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive occupational health services at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) campus locations. This position demands advanced clinical expertise, particularly in emergency response and occupational health management, to support the health and safety of employees in these specialized environments.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Estimated starting salary range: $110,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

  • Full-time benefits package includes Medical, Dental, Vision coverage, 401(k) retirement plan, and additional benefits which may vary. Benefits are subject to change at the employer’s discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide primary and occupational health care services including conducting medical and respiratory evaluations, administering immunizations, and managing treatment for work-related illnesses and injuries.

  • Perform pre-travel health consultations, administer necessary vaccines, and dispense travel-related medications.

  • Conduct diagnostic testing and coordinate medical referrals as required.

  • Accurately document all clinical interventions and patient interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Maintain and monitor inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies to ensure readiness and availability.

  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives and performance improvement programs to maintain high standards of care.

  • Support emergency surge events and public health crisis responses with clinical expertise.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the healthcare team and organizational goals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution.

  • Graduation from a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or another recognized accrediting body.

  • A minimum of five years of Nurse Practitioner experience in occupational health or closely related clinical environments.

  • Proven experience in emergency response, managing health incidents, and providing clinical care in fast-paced settings.

  • Skilled in performing diagnostic procedures and administering appropriate treatments.

  • Strong clinical competencies in occupational health care delivery.

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.

  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities along with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.

  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.

  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening as required by Cherokee Federal.
