Key Responsibilities

Assist nursing staff with patient care tasks, both clinical and non-clinical, in accordance with assigned duties.
Accurately gather and report relevant patient data in an objective manner.
Communicate important patient information to RNs or LPNs to support continuity of care.
Document care activities appropriately, following Ridgeview Medical Center policies and procedures.
Serve as a Patient Safety Attendant when needed.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Note: Nursing Assistants under 18 years of age are not permitted to operate patient lifts.

Minimum Education and Experience

One of the following is required:

Current Nursing Assistant certification or completion of a Nursing Assistant or EMT training program
One year of Nursing Assistant experience (with at least six consecutive months at one facility)
Enrollment in an accredited LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program
Or an approved combination of education and relevant experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to meet and maintain background check requirements based on role responsibilities
Proficiency in English for effective communication and documentation
Basic computer skills
Ability to respond effectively to a variety of patient needs and unpredictable situations
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Sound critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

Licenses/Certifications

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience as a Nursing Assistant is preferred

Compensation

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and aligned with Ridgeview Medical Center’s pay structure and guidelines.
