Position Summary

Essentia Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct care to residents in our skilled nursing facility. In this role, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents while supporting their daily living activities in accordance with the responsibilities of a nursing assistant.

You will assist with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and mobility, recognize and address the effects of the aging process, and promptly report any changes in resident condition to the supervising nurse. The CNA is also responsible for helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while actively working to prevent the abuse of vulnerable adults in our care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing

  • Assist with meals and monitor residents’ nutritional intake

  • Help residents with mobility, positioning, and transfers

  • Observe residents and promptly report any changes in physical or emotional condition

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, addressing safety hazards as needed

  • Promote dignity, respect, and quality of life for all residents

  • Recognize emergency situations and take appropriate action


Qualifications

  • Education: No specific education requirements

  • Certification: Completion of a recognized nurse aide training program or current registration on an applicable state nursing assistant registry (must be verifiable)
