Company Name: Aspen Valley Hospital

Company Overview

Founded in 1891, Aspen Valley Hospital (AVH) is one of the nation’s leading critical access hospitals, combining advanced technology with compassionate care. With 25 inpatient beds, AVH provides state-of-the-art emergency services with a Level III trauma designation, delivering exceptional care around the clock. The hospital’s skilled medical staff and clinical teams address both routine and complex health needs for residents and visitors, managing over 80,000 patient encounters annually.

Care is offered not only at the main campus in Aspen but also through convenient locations in downtown Aspen, Snowmass Village, and Basalt. AVH collaborates with higher-level hospitals across Colorado, ensuring seamless continuity of care by working closely with patients’ primary physicians for diagnostics, treatments, and ongoing monitoring.

AVH’s recent clinical affiliation with the Hospital for Special Surgery — ranked the #1 orthopedic hospital in the U.S. for nine consecutive years — strengthens the hospital’s long-standing tradition of exceptional orthopedic care, a legacy that dates back to when injured silver miners first sought treatment here.
