Occupational Therapist – Acute Burn Rehab (Full-Time, Cornell Campus)
Join NewYork-Presbyterian’s William Randolph Hearst Burn Center, where compassionate, high-quality care transforms lives. As part of our dedicated team, you’ll provide specialized occupational therapy to burn survivors, helping them regain function and improve their overall well-being.
In this patient-centered, multidisciplinary environment, you’ll play a key role in early intervention, pain management, wound care, contracture prevention, and scar management for both adult and pediatric patients. Your expertise in splinting, casting, and mobilization will be invaluable in supporting recovery.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with intermittent weekend and holiday coverage.
Preferred Qualifications:
✔️ 3+ years of burn acute care experience (ICU preferred)
✔️ Expertise in splinting, casting, and scar management
✔️ Early mobilization experience
✔️ Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
✔️ NBCOT Certification
Required Qualifications:
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
✔️ NYS Occupational Therapist License (or within one year of hire)
✔️ NYS Limited Permit (submitted upon hire)
✔️ Basic Life Support (BCLS) Certification
