Occupational Therapist – Acute Burn Rehab (Full-Time, Cornell Campus)

Join NewYork-Presbyterian’s William Randolph Hearst Burn Center, where compassionate, high-quality occupational therapy transforms lives. As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert care to burn survivors, focusing on pain management, wound care, contracture prevention, and scar management.

Role Highlights:

  • Develop and implement specialized treatment plans for adult and pediatric patients.

  • Utilize advanced splinting, casting, and mobilization techniques to maximize functional recovery.

  • Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, Monday – Friday (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM), with intermittent weekend and holiday coverage.

Preferred Qualifications:

✔ 3+ years of acute burn care experience, including ICU exposure.
✔ Proficiency in scar assessment, splinting, and casting.
✔ Experience with early mobilization techniques.
NBCOT Certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy).

Required Qualifications:

BS in Occupational Therapy.
NYS Occupational Therapist License (or Limited Permit upon hire).
BCLS Certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support).
