Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients and develop personalized treatment plans based on medical records, interviews, observations, and input from the care team.

  • Implement therapy interventions according to the established plan of care, making adjustments as needed to meet patient progress and goals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, state licensure requirements, and professional guidelines.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, continuous care and act as a resource for nursing, medical, and therapy staff.

  • Mentor and provide oversight to new caregivers, occupational therapy assistants, and therapy aides. May also supervise and train students in clinical settings.

  • Contribute to program development, quality improvement initiatives, and the expansion of services as needed.

  • Maintain proper clinical records and participate in student affiliation programs when applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education).

  • Experience: Previous experience as a registered Occupational Therapist is preferred.

  • Licensure: Active Occupational Therapist license in the State of Washington.

  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association is required upon hire.
