Overview

Purpose Statement / Position Summary

The Occupational Therapist II is responsible for developing and delivering occupational therapy services tailored to the age and developmental needs of patients. This includes conducting assessments, treatment planning, and therapy interventions. Additionally, the role involves functional supervision of occupational therapy personnel assisting in patient care and providing guidance to occupational therapy interns during clinical observations and training.

Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience

  • 1+ year of full-time experience as an OT I or equivalent in pediatric patient care.
  • Hospital-based experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with CHLA patient care policies and procedures.

Education / Licensure / Certifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy or eligibility for certification.
  • Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
