About the Job
Situated just under 10 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, the Chula Vista campus of Scripps Mercy Hospital serves a vibrant and diverse community, including Chula Vista, Otay Mesa, National City, Imperial Beach, Bonita, and surrounding areas.
As one of two campuses under Scripps Mercy Hospital, the Chula Vista location offers comprehensive medical and surgical services, encompassing both inpatient and outpatient care. The facility houses a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of specialty services, such as cancer care and stroke treatment.
Position Overview
We’re currently hiring for a per diem Occupational Therapist at Scripps Mercy Chula Vista. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside a compassionate team of rehab professionals dedicated to a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care. Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist will provide evaluations, develop treatment plans, deliver hands-on therapy, and educate patients throughout the continuum of care. The position requires adherence to state licensure requirements, ethical standards, federal and state regulations, and Scripps policies and procedures. You’ll demonstrate proficiency through competency assessments and provide age-appropriate care across a variety of patient populations.
Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program

Current Occupational Therapy license in the State of California

Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of acute care experience as an Occupational Therapist
Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $52.28 – $75.96
