Position Overview
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will be responsible for developing and delivering personalized therapy plans for patients with temporary or permanent disabilities, in alignment with professional standards and MLH’s mission, vision, and values.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

Administer occupational therapy interventions and monitor patient progress.

Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals and strategies.

Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as needed.

Identify opportunities for professional growth and maintain clinical competency.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (required).

Experience: No prior experience required—new graduates are welcome.

Licensure: Valid Occupational Therapist license in Tennessee and/or Mississippi.

Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic clinical environment.
Physical Requirements
-
Medium work: Able to exert up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. frequently.

Involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, kneeling, and patient interaction.

Exposure to bodily fluids and hazardous materials; must be able to respond promptly in emergency situations.
