Keys responsibilities
Responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing rehabilitative programs designed to help individuals with disabilities or developmental delays regain or enhance their ability to perform daily living, vocational, and homemaking skills to foster greater independence. Builds trust and cooperation with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through thorough assessments, attentive care, and clear communication. Ensures all services comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies, while maintaining patient safety and privacy. Provides clinical supervision for occupational therapy assistants and aides, and acts as a clinical instructor for assigned students.

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Healthcare Provider

Department-Specific Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License (for Home Health Department)
  • Proof of Auto Insurance (for Home Health Department)

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant occupational therapy experience.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and autonomy.
  • In-depth knowledge of occupational therapy practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
