POSITION SUMMARY: The Oncology Pharmacotherapist will lead, develop, and evaluate clinical pharmacy services for oncology patients. The Pharmacotherapist will ensure the safe, clinically effective, and cost-efficient use of medications. In collaboration with senior pharmacy leadership, the Pharmacotherapist will provide decision support for the effective use of medications in oncology. This position involves providing evidence-based, cost-effective pharmaceutical care to patients in oncology settings within OSF HealthCare. The role also includes participation in quality assurance/management initiatives related to oncology and immunologic therapies, working closely with oncologists, cancer care leadership, and pharmacy and medical staff.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy

Licenses/Certifications: License (or eligibility for licensure) to practice pharmacy in the applicable state. Board certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is preferred but must be current or achieved within one (1) year of starting the position.

Experience:
-
Completion of a PGY1 in Pharmacy Practice and one additional year of practice, with at least 50% of time spent in oncology (or)

Three years of focused oncology experience, with at least 50% of time in a hospital or oncology infusion center setting, demonstrating progressively increasing responsibilities in medication use process management, leadership, practice management, education/training, and use of medical informatics.
