Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses, maintaining an annual teaching load based on contract type (10-, 11-, or 12-month faculty).

  • Employ innovative teaching techniques to accommodate diverse student learning styles and needs.

  • Engage in scholarly activity, professional development, and service to the university community.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and ensure course content aligns with program standards and Christian values.

  • Maintain effective communication and mentorship with students to support academic and spiritual growth.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, assessments, and other university service as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Terminal Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from a U.S. Department of Education–recognized accredited institution.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven organizational and time management abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and online teaching platforms.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain professional counseling licenses as applicable.

  • Demonstrated teaching ability at the graduate level.

  • Active membership and participation in professional counseling organizations.

  • Knowledge of faith integration and biblical concepts in the context of higher education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program.

  • Professional licensure such as LPC, NCC, or School Counseling.

  • Active membership in ACA and AACC.

  • Experience teaching in higher education, preferably online.

  • Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system.

  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
