About the Role
Cosmo 1:1 is redefining online tutoring by connecting motivated students with passionate educators from the top U.S. and Canadian universities and colleges. As an online tutor, you will have the opportunity to build strong one-on-one relationships with students, provide customized instruction, and make a lasting impact on their academic journey.
This role is perfect for experienced educators looking to teach in a flexible, after-school setting. You’ll meet with students weekly at scheduled times, guiding them through math, ELA, or SAT prep lessons. With Cosmo-provided learning plans and tools, you’ll focus on what matters most—helping your students learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive, engaging online classroom.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, personalized instruction in one-on-one 50-minute sessions.

Maintain up-to-date availability in the Cosmo App.

Design or adapt lessons appropriate for each student’s age, ability, and learning style.

Provide thoughtful class feedback after each session to track progress.

Communicate effectively and professionally with both parents and students.

Ensure punctuality, professionalism, and preparedness in every class.

Collaborate with Cosmo staff to align on student needs and expectations.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.

At least 3 years of teaching experience with grades K–12 (math, ELA, or SAT prep).

Strong understanding of K–12 ELA/Math curriculum standards.

Active teaching license preferred, though not required.

Fast, reliable internet and a Windows/Mac computer (minimum CPU: 6000).

Ability to commit for at least 6 months.

Minimum of 20 hours availability per week.

Availability between 3–10 PM EST on weekdays or weekends.

Access to a private, quiet teaching environment.

Passionate about student learning and personal growth.

Must currently reside in the U.S. or Canada (except restricted states/provinces).
