About the Role of Online Tutor

ClassUp is currently hiring experienced K-12 educators, with a focus on elementary school (K–5) students, for online 1:1 tutoring roles. This is a remote, flexible opportunity perfect for passionate teachers who want to make a meaningful impact in an after-school setting.

You’ll deliver 50-minute one-on-one sessions using ClassUp’s provided learning plans in Math, English Language Arts (ELA), and SAT prep. Teachers are expected to build a positive, welcoming, and consistent learning environment for each student.

Responsibilities as Online Tutor

Deliver high-quality 1:1 virtual lessons using provided curriculum materials
Maintain an up-to-date availability schedule in the ClassUp platform
Prepare for sessions based on student age, ability, and academic goals
Submit session feedback reports after each class
Communicate with students and parents professionally and clearly
Ensure a consistent teaching environment (on-time, well-prepared, quiet setting)
Collaborate and check in with the ClassUp support team as needed

Requirements

As Online Tutor – K-12 (Elementary Education Focus) you have;

Bachelor’s degree from a Canadian or U.S. university
Minimum 3 years of experience teaching K-12 students
Familiarity with K-12 Math and ELA standards
Teaching license preferred (not required)
Reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with 6000+ CPU score
Ability to commit to at least 1 year of teaching with ClassUp
Available between 3 PM–10 PM EST on weekdays and/or weekends
Willing to offer at least 20 hours of weekly availability
Must be located in the United States or Canada
Must have a quiet, private teaching environment
